This year NYFW decided to coincide with the coldest week we've had all winter. AND to top it off, the sinus cold I've been desperately trying to avoid finally caught up to me! So let's just say it was especially hard for me to get out of bed.. at least I had my new Japanese Denim winter coat (on sale now!) to protect me from the harsh winds! I totally fell in love with this thing the second I saw it.. love that the denim gives it a bit of excitement, especially during a time in the season where I start to get bored with the same old coat. Added a blanket scarf and some leather leggings, topped off with over the knee boots and I was good to go!
Was lucky enough to check out Ready to Fish by Ilja (new on my radar! But definitely looking out for more from them!) and the beautiful Vivienne Tam collection!
Can't wait for next season!

currently coveting

Hirotaka Ear Pin
So my least favorite holiday is coming up this weekend, and I've never really been into it, BUT I can't help but admit that this delicate little stunner wouldn't make the silly day worth celebrating. No better way to show how much you love someone than with a little sparkle, right?
Take note boys!

paradise found

First post of 2015! Been out of the game for a little bit, but back this year with my photo diary from Costa Rica! Spent a lovely week in paradise in a small town called Punta Islita. Woke up with the sunrise every morning and soaked in as much sun as I could while avoiding the anticlimactic blizzard back home. Missing margaritas de fresas and fresh ceviches while swimming in an infinity pool, but glad to be back home with my puppy! Can't wait for the next adventure!

holiday gift guide
faux fur throw - Restoration Hardware // candle - MALIN + GOETZ // pajama set - J Crew
glasses - Toyo-Sasaki // hot chocolate mix - BKLYN Larder // lip balm -
bath cubes - Fresh
Can't believe how quickly this month has flown by.. the holiday's will be here before I know it! And with last year's extremely cold/long winter, this year I can't help but want to stay cozy all season long! So this year I'll be gifting some of my fave items to help everyone in my life get through the winter in style. I mean who doesn't love to stay cozy!
Some of my picks:
The best blanket/throw from Restoration Hardware. So so soft and snuggly.. in a perfect luxe faux fur to add glamour to any room.  A tobacco scented candle from Malin + Goetz.. I stumbled upon this in a restaurant bathroom when I first moved to New York. Couldn't tell you the name of the restaurant, but I've been hooked on the candle ever since! An adorable pj set from J.Crew - because.. comfy!!
I personally love a good old fashioned any time of year, but it seems especially fitting in colder seasons, and these glasses from Toyo-Sasaki are perfection! (Great to gift along with a bottle of my current bourbon of the moment, Benchmark.) And for the non drinkers in my life (like my mother), nothing better to sip on in front of the fireplace (if you are lucky enough to have one) than some delicious hot chocolate. My fave is from a local shop Bklyn Larder.. super rich and smooth.
It's never a better time than the winter to pamper yourself a bit. I love a good bath with these sugar lemon cubes from Fresh. Great way to unwind and decompress after a long week. And their sugar lip balms are the absolute best. Love that this one has just a touch of color in the perfect fall shade.
What will you be gifting this season?
